*sigh* I'm fairly ashamed. I finally succumbed and nominated this site at the Starless Night Awards. I feel hypocritically pushy, and I can think of lots of reasons why Awards Sites for fandoms as big as this one Don't Work. Brilliant way to suck up to the judges, huh? Anyway, the shameless self-promotion is done now, and I guess I'm just going to have to live with it. Oh, and go vote for us.

Ok, I've just realised that I seem to start all my little notes with "Right, so...", which is really rather daft, so I'm going to try not to do that any more. If you've been paying much attention, you'll be aware that there have been quite a few significant additions to the site, not to mention lots of new authors. Actually I can't remember when I added everything, so I'm just going to have to bluff this. I add new links every now and again, I have a whole stack of them to go through, and I keep tinkering with the site stuff page. I also have a list of new authors to add, due to my advertising spree a couple of days ago. And an faq/glossary of terms to do. Which I'm dreading, but feel I should probably do as I'm a typical tech wannabe in that I use shortenings and initials wherever I possible can.
Interesting stuff that I added today would be an index page for alternate universe (au) fics, of which there are currently 11, and an index page for novel-length fics (those greater than 250k), of which there are currently 7. I also added my personal whimsical quirk page, a sort of archive of disclaimers. Fine, then, I realise "whimsical quirk" may not quite cover it, and that it might be more accurate to call it "obsessively weird". I can't believe I've been compiling this for the last 6 months. This is probably one of the freakiest things I've ever done. I don't actually have permission to list these disclaimers, I wasn't anticipating a problem, and I'm not sure if my email could really cope with contacting all these people, but if anyone has a problem just let me know and I'll remove it.
Oh, and I realise this should probably just be kept to my blog, but I just have to mention how wonderful Pirates Of The Caribbean is. It only just came out over here in the uk, and I'm now in complete awe of Johnny Depp. And then I realised that I don't actually have any crossover fics featuring him archived here. So maybe if someone could send some my way at minniemilky at hotmail.com, I could fix that particular little flaw. Hint, hint.

Right, so we now have a name. Thankyou for all suggestions and responses to the challenge. The name we finally picked was adapted from a suggestion by Laebeth Lavindule, and the fic that came with it, Every Single One's Got A Story To Tell.
I'd also like to mention the fic Backstage Pass by Aja, because although we didn't pick the name, we thought it was the best of the actual fics.
We also now have a random pairing generator to play with, and we will hopefully soon have buttons and banners to link to us with, and a links page of our own.
