I'm slowly getting back into the routine of updating. Still having problems with my net connection. Just to let you know, if you're on LiveJournal and wish to keep up with updates to this site, there should be a note in the four_lobsters newsletter each time I put up a semi-major update.

Half the update now in place. Stats report for February here follows, as usual ignoring all that came before, and all that came after.

The most popular pairing was, as always, ob/vm with again roughly 2700 views, bb/dm hit 1076 and dm/ew to 909 views.

Ignoring fics previously mentioned here, the most popular individual fics were Alternate by Kaydee Falls with 211 views, 6 Situations Where Denial Was Not Only A River In Egypt by Jeyhawk with 137 views, Auld Lang Syne by Jen Lynn with 123 views, Some Kind Of Heaven by Elizabeth with 120, and Smoke by Dee with 117 views.

So, it's been a while. And this isn't a proper update. There is one on its way, but I've been having connection problems and I've got to work out how to ferry files around on floppy disks without leaving your smutty porn lying around public computer rooms. Whatever, coming soon, I'm not dead, thankyou so much for your overwhelming concern. I did a great big attack on the links page, and that's it so far. I have cramp in my knee. I've just finished the most painfully large update that I can ever remember having done. Which isn't to say that it necessarily is such, but it feels like it, and if I get RSI from this I'm going to start asking for donations. Anyway. I have some more stats. Numbers as before, for January alone, ignoring everything that went before, and everything that came after.

The most popular pairing was once again ob/vm with over 2700 views, but 2nd and third place have swapped over, with bb/dm with 1003 views and dm/ew with 652 views. In case there was any confusion, this is not monitoring the number of views of fics of each pairing, but the number of views of the index page for each. Yes, I am terrified by the number of you that are now visiting this site.

The most popular individual fics were much the same as last month's, although I realise that may partly be a reflection of the mention they got here. So the individual fics with the most hits that weren't listed here were: A Perfect Dream by Jen Lynn with 173 views, Begging's Not For Me by Earwen Mithrandir with 136, The Beauty And The Beast by Jeyhawk with 128, 5 Lesser Known Stages Of Love by Maia J also with 128, Ain't Gonna Ask You also by Jen Lynn with 127.

Once more I am shocked to report that 380 of you visited on New Year's Day. I am intimidated, although I suppose I am also somewhat reassured, as it brings it home quite nicely that there are people out there that are more obsessed than me. Oh, and courtesy of Eruberueth Sadril's fic Kissing Orli, I am now number 2 google response for orlando kissing viggo. Now just what kind of person would google that, I wonder?

So I promised some stats. As promised, here there be stats. These are the numbers for December alone, ignoring anything that happened before 01//12//03 or after 31//12//03.

The most popular pairing was ob/vm with over 1500 views, followed by dm/ew with 610, and bb/dm with 277.

The individual fics with the most hits are as follows: Lost Angels by Pickle Pixie with 123 views, Pretty Good Year by Elizabeth with 115, Can't Let Go by Truntelinda with 113, Torn Souls by Pecos with 111, and Lost And Found by Jen Lynn with 108.

What else can be learned from December? 60 of you came here by googling for "viggo mortensen orlando bloom," and I received 4 hits from a Nokia. Which for some reason amuses me. 238 of you added me to your favourites. And 177 of you were reading RPS on Christmas day. Whatever is the world coming to.

A rather belated Happy New Years to everyone. Thankyou to everyone that's sent me fics to be archived recently. It's taking me a while to get caught up, but you haven't been forgotten. Apologies to authors that I'm slow to update on as well, I blame it on the alphabet. I tend to start off at the beginning and rarely reach the end. I'll get there eventually.

Next time I write something here I was going to give some stats on most popular fics. If there's any other suggestions for the site, they're more than welcome. Apart from site design issues. I know I need to do some work on that, but I'm saving it up for when I have excesses of spare time. Anything else, just email me at minniemilky at hotmail.com.

So it's been a while since I've updated. I've been rather busy not doing any work whatsoever. I'm home for Christmas now, though, and hopefully I'll catch up on the backlog and have a good selection of new authors up.
